How it works

Simple rules.
Endless debate.

01
Add a song
Search the playlist first. If the artist isn't there, add your pick. One song only — make it count.
02
Choose wisely
Your track represents that artist forever — or until someone replaces it. No filler. Be intentional.
03
Challenge anything
Think you have a better pick? Post your challenge in Discord with a reason. No reason, no challenge.
04
The group votes
24-hour poll. Simple majority wins. A tie means the original stays. Democracy, but for music taste.

Every artist gets
exactly one song.
Make it the right one.

All genres welcome. New sounds encouraged. No gatekeeping.

Know the game.

The goal

One Artist. One Song.

  • One song represents each artist — their absolute best
  • Every track must earn its spot
  • No filler. No placeholders. No spam adding

Adding a song

Search First. Then Add.

  • Search the playlist before adding anything
  • Artist already there → do not add
  • Artist not there → add one song only
  • Ask yourself: "Is this the song to introduce them?"
  • Defines the artist's sound
  • Hooks a new listener immediately

Artist definition

One Entry Per Name.

  • One entry per solo artist or band name
  • No duplicates via features, remixes, or alternate spellings
  • When in doubt, ask in #rules-lawyering

Adding people

Invite Thoughtfully.

  • You may invite close friends — be selective
  • If someone disrupts quality, the group may remove edits or revoke access
  • All genres welcome — new sounds actively encouraged

Challenging a song

Think You Have a Better Pick? Prove It.

To challenge

  • Anyone may challenge any song
  • Must propose a specific replacement
  • No reason → no challenge

Voting

  • Post poll in #challenges with current vs. proposed + 1–2 sentence reason
  • 24-hour window
  • Simple majority wins
  • Tie → original stays

After the vote

  • Winner replaces immediately
  • Same person cannot re-challenge with the same song
  • A good replacement: more iconic, better first-listen impact, truer to the artist's core sound
Every track should make someone say: "I need more of this."
